Scary stories are a Halloween must

A perfect perching spot has been taken over by a scattering of pumpkins. While they're almost all hollowed out, only one has been carved and sits on a table covered with carving tools, eyeing everyone who passes by. It's on this table that Reynard has propped up his feet while he whittles away at the pumpkin on his lap. He's aiming for something more detailed than the one already sitting out, occasionally looking around to break from the finicky work he's at. The mostly gentle hum drum of the Nexus provides that perfect balance of interesting distraction and relative peace and quiet. Plus, it stops the pumpkins from crowding his house.
After a while he decides that some conversation would make his work that bit more pleasant. Lifting his head, he waits until there's a few people around before he speaks. "The nights are drawing longer, the fog is clinging to the lowlands and all this half light is playing tricks on our eyes. Let's share some spooky stories, my dears. If they're ones you've lived through I might even let you carve one of these."
