Amelia might get a nice greeting when she arrives, but she can recount many times she's left a place with a warning about returning to someone's presence. It's an occupational hazard, which is why she's taken the time to retrieve her weapons and replace them on her hips while Bill is speaking.

"Because a lady is only a lady when she needs to be." That's rather cryptic. It deserves a better explanation, but she isn't going to just give one.
