There's a teenage girl in a pretty floral dress who appears in the middle of the Forum suddenly, and she looks as if she thinks she's in a dream, all wide-eyed and full of wonder--or perhaps it's just confusion. She sees everyone around her chattering away, and smiles a little, nervously.
Truthfully, she can't hear any of them.
Wendla feels that she must communicate with the people who seem so lively and full of conversation, though, so she starts asking a question in sign language, her hands shaking a little.
Hello! My name is Wendla, and I am lost, I think.
She stops for a moment, then begins again, her hands moving more confidently now.
Can anyone tell me how babies are made?
Maybe she'll finally get a useful answer from somebody.
