All of this happens far too fast for Miller to do anything more than throw up his arms reflexively. After the shots are fired and the AV field does its work, he reluctantly lowers them. He smiles wryly.
"Let's see ..." Miller begins counting on his fingers. "In the past 48 hours, I've been punched, almost set on fire, and now shot at. I think I'm getting the hang of this anti-violence thing."
