That's fine, he can always buy another. No telling how much longer she'll get to experience these things. What's a little coffee between...friends? Yes, friends. She is certainly a friend to him, he's decided.

"Humans are largely just that; emotions, thoughts, goals, regrets. Just bundles of sensations and feelings. They don't have the timeless quality that you do; it's all there so sudden, so quickly, so briefly, isn't it?" He sounds almost wistful. Another observer.

"But do not think that your efforts have been falling short before now. You know now how much just a simple touch of affection can help a person along. And my line of work is all about listening. It's something all humans need at some point in their lives."
