The Doctor raises an eyebrow, magic, now that's something he wasn't expecting. "Magic spells? What kind of spells?" Alas he has no experience with magic, or if he has it is always shrugged off as science.

He squints his eyes as he tries to wrap his mind around the staves being powered by 'magic', and again he does his best to be avoid being rude. "I wasn't expecting magic, a walking stick perhaps but not a magic staff."
