The season is a'changing, the weather is warmer. The forecast calls for high temperature, low humidity and a light breeze. A near perfect day. What better reason to gather the friends and have a good time with a bonfire? Grab a beer, have a seat. Cheery tunes fill the salty air. There's plenty of room and so much to eat.

Matt Murdock is actually dressed for the beach. Still likely more than usual. He burns so easily. There's no way he could have done this alone. Anyone who is anyone in Nexus knows that there is that distinct Verity Willis touch on everything. If the sounds and the sights don't get you, it is going to be whatever Clint has on the grill. That man is magic.

"Everything we go through leaves its mark," Loki points out. The mention of riddles, though, catches his interest. "I like riddles! What sort have you had?"

"Most recently, I had painted a picture of Kendra... and her magic pulled me to where she was. When I tried to approach her, I could not get close enough. She kept repeating 'It isn't time. You should go. Turn back and save yourself.'"

"Then at the very end, she said 'Sharpen your fangs and your claws, lost one. It isn't time... but it will be. You must wait. You must learn.'"

Hunter pauses in his work on the castle construction. "I feel that our connection is still important. I just don't understand why."

"Sharpen your fangs and your claws," Loki echoes, sitting to think. "Lost one. That means something, I think. That, and the teeth-and-claws lines, those are the ones to chase."

Hunter watches as Loki thinks over the words. "I have been trying to figure out if there is any way to connect fangs and claws to flowers."

He holds out his left arm, the one with the dead rose bush on it. "Kendra had already used the rose theme before."

"Hmm. Roses have thorns, but that feels a little obvious. And what would it have to do with you being lost?" The puzzle has him quiet for nearly a minute before he raises his next question. "When she gave you that puzzle, what were your surroundings? What can you remember about things you saw, or heard, smelled--even just the quality of the light?"

"I was in a smoke-filled room, filled with blaring music. The smoke was misty green. When I pushed through the smoke, it felt like a pulse of electricity was coursing through my skin..." Hunter describes the memory.

"What kind of music, other than loud?"

"The typical rock music they play in clubs."

"The place was very similar to the club that I used to frequent when I was a spoiled youth. It was where Kendra cursed me."
