Food is often the way to a man's heart, and Jim Kirk is no different, watching in curiosity at her obvious interest in the cuisine on display. Even the fact that it's a ridiculously huge insect doesn't put him off; it's not like he hasn't had to eat worse before.

And of course the woman in question is fairly easy on the eyes, in his opinion, as well.
