Jim raises his hands to guard his head against the assault, stepping back as her attacks strike home at his shoulders. Her being off the ground should mean she can't readjust her footing, so he takes a gamble and grabs at her foot, hoping to twist her off-course, or at least deflect her enough that she doesn't land how she planned to.
