brave_heart_verity: (thinking about it)

Stories and hobbies and other ways to pass the time

Verity's in her favorite seat in the forum, drinking coffee and trying to read a book that's frustrating her. It isn't long before she puts it down with a scowl aimed at the cover (or possibly the concept of books). "Does anyone understand Norse mythology? Is that a thing? Because I do not get it."

"Alternately, any suggestions for hobbies for someone with lots of time and few skills? Preferably things that aren't group activities."

((A note about Verity: she's got a magic spell stuck in her that lets her always know when someone is lying to her. Please respect this; if your character is trying to lie to her, please make that known so she can react appropriately.))

At her voice he jumped, immediately crouching. But oh, she didn't sound mad that he was poking at her book. He peeked up at her, then relaxed and put it down. "Pi." He preferred picture books to the ones with lots of words. Unless someone was reading to him, then they were quite nice. Oh, there was something he liked ot do that didn't get him into any trouble ever! He ran off and shortly returned.

He hopped up beside her, lifting a hand in greeting. Well there was one thing he liked, and he'd clearly brought it to show her; a collection of hats were with him. A party hat, goggles, several caps, headbands and even three faded neckerchiefs, similar to those boy scouts would wear. Looking at her and thinking, he picked up the red cap and motioned for her to wear it.

Still good! He put on the small glasses that went with it, to match her own. He then offered her one of the faded pieces of cloth. "Pika!" Could she tie her hair back with it? He used to tie some of them around his ear. He hopped on the back of her chair, touching it to her hair. He didn't know how to tie it though.

Well, the little mouse was clapping quite happily. He hopped down and put n a neckerchief himself, slipping the cloth through the plastic ring to keep it in place. Once dressed up, he spun in a circle and posed. "Pikachu!"

Evidently, dressing up was a hobby for this chu!

He grins, clearly pleased with her praise. "Pi chu!" And you! He offers to swap glasses with her, patting his chest as he does. "Pikachu!"

He was only a little disappointed. Leaving his glasses off, he tied a piece of fabric around his ear just as he used to when he was only a little Pichu. Putting on the red and white cap, he beamed at her. Look, they matched!

Picture! He'd done this with Loki! Immediately he nodded eagerly and hopped over to her, crouching on the back of the chair s he was equal with her. "Pika~!" He waved a little arm for the camera.

"Piiii~" He beams at her praise, squishing his cheeks a little. Good pictures, a pretty friend and praise - why wouldn't he be happy?

He hopped beside her again. "Pi Pikachu! Pi-?" He patted his chest, then patted her side to ask her name.
