[how. when. why. He couldn't understand it, yet... here he was.
Something that even here, didn't belong. His form was tenuous at best, clipping through walls and the ground, and he himself seemed vaguely startled, the lights inside his sockets darting around nervously as the tall, seemingly void like being wrung his pierced hands.
Where was this?
Was he... he felt-
He could feel.
The entity just seemed to be stuck looking at his hands, edges glitching and pixelating sharply as tears started to collect in the corners of his sockets.]

This is something she has never seen before. She knows about the safety of the nexus however, and approaches cautiously.
"...You alright, big guy?"

And then he was back, staring at her in wonder. She... was... She couldn't possibly be.
"Y̺̱̻͔̺͕̩̜̯̱̻̯̻̰͙̙͉̘͕͢Ǫ̛͚̬̝̜͞U̸̙̘͍͖͎̩̻͉̲̰͕̭̫̜̤̺̣̝̕ ̶̺̫̱͎̯̼̣͚͟ͅC͏̶̢̯̺̘͈͙͍͍͓̗͔͎̤̞̹̤̻͟Ạ̵̯̹̙̲͔͙͡N̵̛̲̬̰̫͍͖̪̝̞̬̙̘̳̮͞-̸̧̕͠҉͉̥̻̱̞̺̘̞"
It was impossible, he caught himself before he could continue, as warped and ruined as his voice was, quickly signing the rest.
You can see me?

Luckily, American sign language is one of many Agent Romanov is fluent in. He seems more comfortable with it, and her chances for sleeping tonight go up if they're talking this way too.
Everybody wins!

I apologize, I... am not used to this. Being seen. Or real. Or anything, actually, sunlight included.
How is this possible, what happened? Where am I? Where is the underground? Do you know who returned me to a solid state?
Wait this was all probably very confusing and he had not even introduced himself-
I apologize, I'm just a little overwhelmed right now. My name is Doctor W.D Gaster. I've been... lost for over a decade.

She'll pull out one of the many welcome brochures the Nexus hands out to newcommers and gently place it in his hands.
This is a meeting place. Many worlds. Many times. I don't know where your world is. Or how you got here.
no subject
I see. How curious... Then I will not know how I came to exist in this world.
Thank you anyway, Natasha, I am grateful for the information.
Perhaps, for now, it would be best if I did not return home.
no subject
The good doctor is not like anything Natasha has seen before and she's seen pissing contests between gods, and fought aliens. This is new.
Would you disappear again if you found your home?
no subject
I fell into it.
My life as a physical being ended, and I was scattered through out reality.
... I am no one, Natasha. I have been no one for ten years. I have been erased from time and space.
Until now, so it would seem.
I can only assume that will be my fate dare I attempt to return. After ten years... I fear the darkness.

She's also gotten used to handling large animal-like people.
I'm sorry that happened to you, for what it's worth.
no subject
It does mean something, thank you. No one even remembers I was alive. It... has been a long decade.
no subject
At least he's found someone who can sympathize.
no subject
Nothing is different. No one knows I was alive, and no one has been impacted by that. Not even my children.
no subject
"Did your invention...make everyone forget?"
no subject
My invention deleted me from reality. They have not forgotten. How can you forget what technically was never there to begin with?

... That is the look of a person who can see him.
Awkwardly, he signs at her]
Hello.
no subject
Greetings, strange one. Thine form is weak and spread greatly for one whom exists not in a dream. Are you whole?
[Tact? What's that? Gimmie my desired answers >.<9]
no subject
I see you noticed.
[Well he's not offended. He figured it might be slightly obvious]
I must say, I am not entirely sure, madam. I barely know if I am here.
no subject
The figure approaches and solemnly points directly at Gaster, letting the scientist see the segmented joints of her fingers and the clear artificial nature of her form]
You are here, strange one. For the moment, you are here.
no subject
I suppose I am. For the moment. I should be happy, shouldn't I?
no subject
[How very...literal minded of her...?]
no subject
Then I shall do my best to be happy.
no subject
Very well then.
[.......well that a bit of an awkward pause.....]
[....]
[....]
[...!]
Strange one, how did you come to be as this? What manner of calamity befell you to scatter yourself so wholly?
[She's seen some shit, she knows but fuck this whole 'being blasted to metaphysical pieces but still conscious' thing is bugging the crap out of her]
no subject
I fell into one of my inventions, and deleted myself.
no subject
[Her head bobs gently at an angle. She doesn't know that techy of a word! Her world runs on Ye Olde Victorian Bloodpunk!]

Nor do I. My place is within the Hunter's Dream, not this transitory location.
no subject
I would not belong anywhere. It isn't a feeling I am unused to.

[At some point in these moments of silence, Gaster might feel a tugging on whatever he has that passes for a pant leg. If he were to look down, he would see that the tugging was cause by strange small beings that appeared as if from a dream. The Doll sees them, the little ones, the Messengers and smiles adorably at them]
