#seasonstweetings
Snow has fallen in the Nexus! Fat, fluffy flakes of white, piling and drifting from ankle- to knee-depth in places. It may still be falling, in places, and in the midst of it all is a Norse godling packing snowballs and a grin. "I swear, I had nothing to do with it--but! What's your favorite thing to do with a fresh fall of snow?"

This is Kid Loki, so there's no icy slush or hidden gravel inside.

"No, you asked what I like to do in snow. You were clearly planning for the snowball fight." She ducks the first one and scoops up some snow to pack a loose snowball to lob back at him. "I'm just being obliging."
She's not enjoying this at all. Nope. Not even a little bit.

Must not like the season.
But then he's back, coat and boots and gloves on, and tossing a hat and gloves Loki's way.
"Build a fort, obviously. You any good, kid?"

"Planning a fort's the best part. You get your walls up, sure, but then what? How do ya stop an invading force? You want to stockpile snowballs to defend yourself, get a makeshift stairway up to a lookout station....things like that. Make sure you pack the walls good and tight. You want this part to be sturdy."

He's positively devious, for such a little guy.

DARKNESS HEEDS YOUR CALL
SUMMON SUCCESSFUL
Aww, yeah
Honestly, I don't know why Isidor is so worried about Verity's influence around here...

Spellcheck's best suggestion for "eldritch" is "britches." Just sayin'.
Do not look to Ver for strategy. Her strategy would be "let's go get cocoa".

Forgive her, Nexus, she did not know what she was doing when she called for help!

"Snow is best enjoyed with family, so my favorite thing to do is to take my daughter out in it as soon as it's deep enough to go sledding on some hills in a park. I may or may not join her from time to time, if the hill's too steep for her to go by herself." He gives a wink with that one and can't help the chuckle that follows. Because what dad who loves his daughter as much as Hughes loves his could possibly resist sledding with said daughter from time to time?
no subject
"Will you be bringing her out here? Jim and I are setting up a snow fort, and we could use someone to fort against. Or, y'know, guard, but that leaves us with the problem of still no competition."
no subject
He shakes his head a bit. "I'm afraid I can't. No one else from my world knows about this place and I kinda need to keep it that way for now." Goodness knows that could change at any time, but details. "But how about this - I help you with your fort for now and when more people show up, I'll join the opposing team for the impending snowball fight. Sound good?"

"Oh, I rather like watching it from my office window as it falls. It's a very quiet, comforting thing, don't you think? Especially if lit by street lamps, making it all golden orange."

Except snow can be made into ammo when picked up and money cannot
Turning money into ammo is what Wal-Mart is for.
