New Years Conundrums

Nat's in a more prominent spot in the Nexus today, with what looks to be a whiteboard stand set up next to her chair in the Forum. She's idly tossing dry erase markers while she observes the people coming and going.

"They say the new year is a time for change, and yet every year people aim so pitifully low. If you could change one thing next year....any one thing, what would it be?"

Inquiring minds want to know! Or, you know, one bored red head with too much time on her hands.

Eyebrows go up when the question is aimed at him now before he purses his lips in thought, finger tapping at the lower one. "Hmmm. One thing to change about this new year? There is plenty outside my power that comes to mind first; my patients taking my advice, for instance. Having more of the same in general. Patients, that is."

He smiles when he comes to settle on an idea. "Ah! Here's a thought. I would like to be reunited with one of my dearest clients. His and my sessions ended rather abruptly, at my own admission; my help wasn't effective while he wasn't receptive to it. But it would be nice to know where he is these days. How he's gotten on without my guidance. If he's willing to reconnect at all. I had only his best interest in mind, after all."

"A pretty thought, but an empty one. More patients means more people are reaching out for help. Because a staggering amount refuse to or believe they don't need it. Being busy is better than having a shortage, as that most certainly means that less people believe they need or can afford help.

"And I assure you, there are some very sick...sick people just walking amongst the rest out there." While that's meant to be a warning or a sad fact, he still says it with a smile. Creeps indeed.
