The desk is back in the Nexus again. And the owner of it is once more behind it, hands folded primly in front of him. Set off to the side is a fountain pen and a pad of paper. The banker's light and the metronome rest on the desk as well, though both are turned off. The snow is cleared in a neat three foot circumference around his seat, and though he's in just a dress shirt and sweater vest, the cold doesn't seem to bother the doctor one bit.

"I wonder," Dr. Hill begins in his usual northern European accent, "What do you, as a person, value more? Honesty? Or loyalty?"

A simple question, really.

"Loyalty. There's reasons for lying, and some of them save lives." Why yes Jim Kirk is in uniform today and he feels exceptionally strong about this topic.

"Hmmmm..." She clicks her tongue "Loyalty but of course... a loyal subject will be honest if they are truly loyal. But an honest person may not be loyal to you, and where is the value in someone like that?" She runs her fingers across the surface of his desk. Then looks over the objects placed upon it.

He hates it when Dr. Hill asks him questions. They never mean what he says they mean and every answer is always the wrong answer.

Always.

Without fail.

And this is a familiar question.

"Honesty." His answer is unsure, hesitant. "Got a hard enough time telling reality from not without folks lying, these days."

"Honesty," Blaze answers readily. She pauses afterward as if checking her logic, then nods anyway. "Loyalty's important, but honesty comes first."

Of course this is coming from a bot who wears a banner at her hip and slaps identifying emblems on every piece of kit she owns, so one can assume the two principles don't often conflict for her.

The strange presence of the man drew the doll from the outskirts of the Nexus wherein she made her 'home', in places where the mist never rose and on lonely nights, beasts and men hunt one another. She set her eyes upon him, looked at him, looked through him and understood, even if she did not realize it.

She nods and approaches, keeping a polite distance for their discussion. "Loyalty. I was made for a purpose, one desirous of my self to fulfill."

Hughes doesn't have notes on this mysterious man and his desk. Certainly he's been here before, but why does he not have notes on this guy? Hmm. Time to investigate. First step? Answer his question.

"Loyalty, above all else. Honesty is easy enough to differentiate when you get to know someone." And through practice, but details.

It's the usual uniform for the Intelligence officer today, though he's wearing a coat due to the cooler temperatures here in the Nexus. The doctor's lack of a coat makes the officer a little suspicious, though.

"Say, aren't you cold?"

The doctor's impromptu office piques Miller's interest and he wanders up, hands in his pockets. "I'm gonna go with honesty. If someone's honest about their motives, you'll know more or less where they stand on loyalty."

"Loyalty, of course," Iphigenia says from a nearby corner. "You can lie to save someone's life, but loyalty--if you break that bond, well, then you're a traitor."

This might be a topic she's passionate about. Hm.

[Consider him interested, as Sasha doesn't see a lot of therapists set up shop in the Nexus, let alone with their desks nearly consumed by snowy weather. The tall German, dressed in his usual wardrobe, plus a thin leather jacket, strolls over to the desk without fear.]

"Loyalty and Honesty. Both of those seem to go hand in hand, as one cannot exist without the other. I value both equally." [He gives Dr Hill a look-over, then a small nod. "What about you, good sir? Which do you value the most?"

...what? Why is he here? He looks around with confusion. This has to be another dream- nightmare, probably. But when did he start dreaming of therapists?

"Uh..." Henry approached the desk, in order to better let his quiet voice be heard. "Aren't they both important?" He does not get this question.

Troy- Dr. Abernathy- leans forward onto the desk, looking amused. In his current role here, there's no need for him to be wearing his usual doctor's coat. So instead, Dr. Hill can see his rumpled, torn, and slightly bloody tailored suit that's generally underneath. "Ah, the good old dichotomy. Will you hate me if I say neither? Or maybe I should just jump to the end and tell you what I really value most. It's freedom."

He had a feeling Dr. Hill might know a little something about that.
