Scavenger Hunt Spin the Bottle-Wheel Valentines Day CHALLENGEEEEE!

You all didn't think you were getting out of this holiday entirely empty handed, now did you?

There's red, white, and pink heart confetti falling like rain as Nekomata pushes out a ridiculously large gameshow type wheel with a bottle shaped ticker attached at its center. She raises the aviator glasses she's wearing and pulls a few cue cards out of her...actually she doesn't have pockets and it's best not to ask where these came from.

"Lyadies and Gentleman, humies, magi and all creatures alike! It's time for us to play a game mya!" She does her best Vanna White impression as she gestures to the wheel. "You may all have nyoticed the names of Nexus denizens. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to give this wheel a spin and track down whomever it lands on and get a selfie of you two smooching! All selfies delivered to me will be entered into a grand finale drawing. The winner will receive a very special prize everyone in the Nexus is guaranteed to want mya!"

She points into the crowd of the forum. She wants you to participate! Yes, you!

"What are you waiting for mya?!"

Miller does as he's instructed and watches the wheel's progress.

Something occurs to him. "Wait, wait. So what's a 'selfie' anyway?"

"It's a picture you take. Of yourself. And someone else sometimes." She can't believe she has to explain this to Kazkaz, of all people. He's supposed to be hip with the kids.

The distraction has him looking away though, which means Nekomata can discreetly tick the bottle a few spaces over from where it landed so that Verity's name is the one that shows up. She saw that look he gave her at the chili cook-off, and she is nothing if not a smooth wingman.

"Yeah! It's Pinky! Go kiss the socks offa her! High fives!"

"What are you gonna do with all these pic..." He watches the wheel click to a stop. "...tures..."

Oh god. God. Well, that's just peachy. He smears a hand over his face and lets out a long, groaning sigh.

The way her tails are curled tells Kaz that she may have had something to do with the outcome of this. He's been in that body.

She also looks entirely too proud of herself.

"That's easy peasy! She was just here. Go kiss her and come back for another draw!"

The palm migrates up to his forehead as he looks down at the ground. Neko, Neko, Neko...

"What's the prize, exactly?" He needs to know if this is worth the potential trouble.

"Only the one thing that your heart desires most Kazkaz~ I have made the best Valentines day prize you could ever imagine."

Does he really think Nekomata won't get him a hooker if that's what he wants? She is his Wing. Man.

"Trust me. You wanna play."

"That is the worst non-answer I've ever heard, Neko. You'd have a promising career in politics."

Miller couldn't ask for a more enthusiastic wing man, that's for sure.

He shifts his weight back and forth indecisively, then finally turns on his heel to get this over with. Whatever.

"Okay. Mission accomplished. Verity's got the selfie." Miller's still used to rolls of film and development times. "Not sure how I'm supposed to get it to you."

He gives the wheel a sidelong glance. Does he dare?

"Normally I'd demand proof but you? I trust you." She quirks an eyebrow and gives Kaz a grin. "Good stuff? Also how do you spell your name?"

She's not asking phonetically. She wants to write his proper name in Japanese for her drawing.

"You can spin again~"

Miller shrugs. Why the hell not? He gives the wheel another spin.

"Here," he says, taking the pen to write out the characters himself: 和平. It's honestly been a while since he's done it properly.

If there's one think Nekomata is good at, it is making sure her best friend only gets classy ladies to lock lips with. He said he liked human females. She's gonna give him so many human females.

"Bounty hunter Samus! Good luck Kazkaz~ She's pretty cool."

Miller pinches the bridge of his nose and shakes his head. "I swear to god, Neko..."

"Nyyesss?" She's smiling so wide now, tails flitting this way and that. "It's okay You don't have to thank me. I know how you feel."

No, Neko. You really don't.

"I'm gonna get you so many ladies Kazkaz."

*Speaking of Samus, she's just emerging from a storefront into the Forum now. She has added a long, feather-print blue coat with a high wool collar and the birdie-hat Steve gave her for wintermas to her usual vacsuit, as it's been having trouble keeping up with Reynard's severe temperature shifts on its own (and she really doesn't take the cold as well as she used to). She is even now casting a mildly curious look toward the commotion caused by Neko's big wheel.*

Welp. The wheel has spoken and he's honor-bound to comply.

He does a little weaving through the crowd, makes a show of peering into some shop windows, then pretends to look pleasantly startled when he arrives at the bounty hunter's side. He rocks on his heels. "Hey, Samus! Wild winter, huh? You been keeping warm?"

Smooth as hell.

*Samus is the sort to keep tabs on the people around her; she noted Kaz coming a few windows ago, and the deliberate pursuit followed by the too-casual pitch have her a little wary.*

Miller, right? I've been colder, though not voluntarily. Yourself?

He's no Snake, that's for sure.

"Miller. You got it. Been surviving alright," he confirms. "This is probably nothing compared to space cold, huh?"

That box isn't fooling anyone.

Common misconception. Space is colder, but you lose heat faster in an atmosphere.

*She nods back in the direction of the wheel and confetti-storm.*

Is that another LOL already? Did you get caught in it?

Kaz hums thoughtfully and files that factoid away. You never know.

"Loll? Uh, I don't think so?" He's not hip to the term yet, clearly.

He exhales. Well, no use mincing words. "Any chance I could get a kiss?"

El-oh-el, like the body-switching thing that happened recently. Something like that happens, from time to time.

*Mincing words, or at least trimming them a bit, might have been a good idea, Kazuhira. There's a 6'4" woman giving you her best what-the-what expression, and she gives good expression.*

That's about how he thought this would go. His pride doesn't allow him to voluntarily show any kind of embarrassment, but if you squint there's a bit of a blush around those cheekbones.

"Well, I'm fresh out of amazing explanations," he says with a lopsided grin. "I've got a lame one, though."

He raises an eyebrow. "Unless you want a cheesy pick up line? I know how much you love those."
