Scavenger Hunt Spin the Bottle-Wheel Valentines Day CHALLENGEEEEE!

You all didn't think you were getting out of this holiday entirely empty handed, now did you?

There's red, white, and pink heart confetti falling like rain as Nekomata pushes out a ridiculously large gameshow type wheel with a bottle shaped ticker attached at its center. She raises the aviator glasses she's wearing and pulls a few cue cards out of her...actually she doesn't have pockets and it's best not to ask where these came from.

"Lyadies and Gentleman, humies, magi and all creatures alike! It's time for us to play a game mya!" She does her best Vanna White impression as she gestures to the wheel. "You may all have nyoticed the names of Nexus denizens. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to give this wheel a spin and track down whomever it lands on and get a selfie of you two smooching! All selfies delivered to me will be entered into a grand finale drawing. The winner will receive a very special prize everyone in the Nexus is guaranteed to want mya!"

She points into the crowd of the forum. She wants you to participate! Yes, you!

"What are you waiting for mya?!"

[Fun Valentines day shenanigans since I didn't see anything else go up today. Entirely fluffy and for laughs. Feel free to choose your target or have me select at random. I may or may not choose targets based on hilarity. Happy V-Day everyone and accept this loving post from me to all of you~

Hey that's convenient. Ver greets Iphi with a smile. "It's Valentine's Day. A holiday celebrating romantic love. People who're courting give each other presents or go out to special meals or events, things like that. And this is, well... it's a kissing game. You spin the wheel, and then are supposed to kiss the person whose name you land on. It can just be cheek kissing or something!" She's really quick to add that last part.

She's also blushing now. "And, er, your name has already come up twice."

"...Tw--twice?" Her eyes go wide, and the princess is suddenly an adorable shade of pink. "But why me?"

This is certainly something else.

"Exceptionally good fortune on the part of those who've been blessed with it, I would guess," speculates a thin man in a tidy suit and hat, a silver-headed cane supporting one hand. "But I must beg pardon, your Highness, for we haven't met."

Sweeping the hat from his head, he bows. "I am called Schön W. Freund, and am delighted to meet you at last."

Poor Iphi. Ver knows the feeling. Schön's gentlemanly manners don't escape notice; he may be getting teased later.

"Like he said. We're just lucky. You don't have to agree to it though."

"You're both lucky? Are you two going to be kissing me?" Oh look, more blushing.

Let's just say Iphigenia was unprepared.

"That," Schön answers smoothly, "will be entirely up to you. We have both been invited by the game to do so, but I think I may safely say that neither Verity nor I would force such attentions upon you unwanted."

"Like he said. Only if it's okay with you. And it's no problem if you'd rather not. Nobody's feelings will be hurt." Have to be careful with the princess who feels so much duty and obligation.

She smiles gently, glad that they're so accomodating and understanding.

"Well, maybe a small kiss would be alright," she replies. "I think I can handle it."

"Do you grant us a hand?" he asks solicitously, "a cheek? What would please your highness best?"

Schön remembers Ver's fondness for setting her friends up, right? He may want to remember that.

But Iphi's getting a smile for being a sport. "Whatever you'd be comfortable with."

Iphigenia grins, because she's starting to have fun with this.

"A hand is too formal, isn't it? A cheek might be better."

Oh, and she's still blushing a little, by the way.

"Wise and gracious," the thin man purrs, glancing to Verity. "I see two rosy cheeks, and two of us, and you have your delightful phone in hand. Would you care to do the honors?"

"Uh, sure. Count of three?" It doesn't take long to get the phone ready for picture-taking. Sidling close enough to Iphi to reach her cheek takes a little longer. Distances are being calculated, it's all very involved and precise mathematics.

"Okay. One..." Lean in.

"Two..." Position phone.

"Three!" Smooch!

She giggles as she's kissed, because really, this is turning out to be quite ridiculous--in a good way, of course.

Very precise mathematics, indeed.

Weren't the ancient Greeks one of the early proponents of precise mathematics? A princess of their era could deserve no less. Schön's lips brush gentle as butterflies upon Iphigenia's cheek in the same moment that Verity leans in, a whisper-soft peck to think upon.

"Gracefully done, your highness," he purrs softly, breath warm against her cheek, before he steps back. "And thank you."

Ver's not so flirtatious with the smooch. It's a brief but friendly gesture, recorded for posterity and also a demon cat lady and oh god when did this become her life.

But don't think she didn't notice all that, Schön, she's right there and has ears. So, while leaning back, she 'accidentally' bumps Iphi's arm to send the princess a little closer to Schön. "Thank you. I'll just go turn this in. You two have fun."

Maybe Schön can explain Valentine's Day. With a demonstration.

She's definitely bumped, and looks quizzically at Verity before her friend leaves, as if to ask: What's going on?

But then she smiles at Schön.

"You're very welcome," Iphigenia replies, a little nervous laugh escaping her lips.

"I would say the pleasure is mine," he replies, "but I dearly hope it was shared. Please allow me to apologize for having been somewhat the stranger since you arrived. No one should ever become so entangled in their daily affairs that they neglect such company as yours. Have you been enjoying the Nexus, I do hope?"

"I have, yes," she replies, grinning. "I like it here--there's always someone new and intriguing to meet."

Besides, it's better than the alternative for her.

"What about you? Do you like it here?"

Oh, gods. She's feeling awkward all of a sudden.

"Absolutely," he replies. "My own world was drab, and cold, and certain to be the death of me. But here, I can properly thrive amid an endless panoply of wonderment." His smile is pleasant, warm, encouraging, his voice rich with savored satisfaction.

"I've done quite well for myself, making people's wishes come true. Perhaps I could grant a few of yours, hmm?"

"Truthfully, sometimes I miss home," she admits, looking down for a moment. "But I can't go back."

There's a sad sort of smile on her face, and Iphigenia shrugs before she continues speaking.

"I'm not so sure I have any wishes right now. Could I think of some and then ask you later?"

"You can always ask me later," he promises. "If I might suggest... if you cannot return home, there are two schools of thought on seeking comfort. One proposes to immerse oneself in something new, exciting--utterly unknown and completely captivating! One has little time for pangs when so embroiled, and the pain passes gently, barely noticed. The other suggests going somewhere very much like home, wrapping oneself in the comfort of the familiar. If either of those should ever appeal, I would be more than happy to help. Perhaps with dinner, on some occasion?"

Oh, look, now she's really blushing. Funny how that works.

"--Oh! I--I would love to, yes." She's sort of internally scolding herself for not appearing more confident and regal right now. "With dinner, yes. Certainly."

Iphigenia wonders what he has up his sleeve.

"Delightful," he purrs, "I shall await the moment of your pleasure in the matter. Will you prefer the familiar, do you think, or the exotic?"

The way he talks to her gives her butterflies in her stomach. It's kind of nice, she thinks.

"Oh, I think I should always be trying something new, don't you?" She grins. "The exotic, please."
