You all didn't think you were getting out of this holiday entirely empty handed, now did you?

There's red, white, and pink heart confetti falling like rain as Nekomata pushes out a ridiculously large gameshow type wheel with a bottle shaped ticker attached at its center. She raises the aviator glasses she's wearing and pulls a few cue cards out of her...actually she doesn't have pockets and it's best not to ask where these came from.

"Lyadies and Gentleman, humies, magi and all creatures alike! It's time for us to play a game mya!" She does her best Vanna White impression as she gestures to the wheel. "You may all have nyoticed the names of Nexus denizens. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to give this wheel a spin and track down whomever it lands on and get a selfie of you two smooching! All selfies delivered to me will be entered into a grand finale drawing. The winner will receive a very special prize everyone in the Nexus is guaranteed to want mya!"

She points into the crowd of the forum. She wants you to participate! Yes, you!

She's really getting up on this light on her feet thing. "Complain about a prize?" Matt turns and is ready to hook an arm around her.

Matt has zero idea.

He's been running with her. He knows that she is, by definition, light on her feet when she's not wearing 90 lbs of extra weight.

"That you're volunteering to kiss other people, honey," she mock-chides. His arm isn't empty for long, and neither are hers. "But I can't complain because I got to kiss a Greek princess, so. I'll just hope you get someone nice."

Anyone is after that kind of strenuous work out. Matt feels like he's a cloud right after. And that's without putting in any consideration to who he is with. Miss Verity Willis has that impact.

"A Greek princess no less?" He laughs and shakes his head. "That went over well then?" Bummer to know that he just will not see sights like that. That's his lot in life.

"Oh yes. Iphigenia's very nice. I should introduce you some time, you'll like her." Elektra who now? "I have a picture. I will describe it to you later, if you want?" It's as close to fair as she can offer. Until one of them develops telepathic powers, anyway.

"Princess Iphigenia." He repeats the name to himself to try it on. Greek women have a reputation in his head. Best practice to meet and know others so that there isn't just one.

"You're too sweet." Without a dare or prompt Verity gets a kiss. Should there ever be telepathic powers what a super highway of information here.

"Mm-hmm." Is he familiar with certain Greek stories? It might be familiar. He went to a fancy law school, so he might know these things. She doesn't.

"Never," she protests weakly. The kiss is very distracting. If they were telepathically linked they'd be unstoppable--once they got around to doing anything that involved the rest of the world again.

He knows a story or two. But then again, sometimes a mythic Greek name is just a Greek name. "Are you and the princess friends?"

"Always." Especially if she's going to go about like that. How does this even work that they're going to kiss other people but be like this right now? They must be crazy. The whole rest of the world is going to have to wait until they get over one another and are psychically connected for all of it's problems to be solved.

"Yeah, we're friendly. It's been interesting learning about her world and teaching her about how women are treated in ours." Ver's possibly more mad about what Iphi's dad did than Iphi is. She hasn't pressed the point to find out, but the princess always seems so accepting of her fate.

"...sometimes?" She's willing to compromise. And she trusts him enough to play these silly games and let him play too. He'll be coming back to her in the end, which is the important part. There will be no 'getting over' each other as long as she has a say in the matter. But they might eventually learn to prioritize. Once they're done exploring their new feelings.

"That sounds as though she is not from our time line." Or Greece is more backward than he has come to understand. Likely the former.

Matt sways his head from side to side. "Hmmmm." As though it takes so much brain work. "Constantly." It's a fun game. And a test to see how much he can get away with along with her. There's always a come back because he's a comeback kid.

New feeling exploration is looking to take some time. And getting over only means that they're not so very twitterpaded... only twitterpaded.

'Our'. That feels so nice. Belonging somewhere again... "No. More like ancient Greece. But she's adapting well."

Verity siiiiighs. She is so put-upon by this man of hers. "You're trouble." Like she doesn't love it. He can get away with pretty much whatever he wants--if he's willing to live with her sassing him about it. "I thought lawyers were supposed to be good at finding compromises."

He can twitterpate her whenever he likes. They don't need any further psychic links for that.

She will always have a kind of belonging here. There are so many people who care about her, Murdocks aside. "Ancient," he scoffs a little at himself and the idea. "Hell of an adjustment. A new world and time."

Trouble? He beams with pride at this assessment. "I am. I should have been more upfront. I'm so sorry." This would be an invitation for sassing. "Oh I'm good at finding compromises and proceeding until I get what I want."

She loves her new life here, it's true; she loves having someone to share it with, too. "Yeah. She's doing an amazing job."

It's hard to want to sass him when he's smiling like that. Wait. No. No, it isn't. "You should be. Abusing my trust like that. What am I going to do with you..." Her fingers had been creeping up his chest to take hold of his shirt and pull him down into another kiss, but he just had to keep talking. "Ah, is that how it works? What is it you want so badly that you're willing to argue with me over it?"
