Scavenger Hunt Spin the Bottle-Wheel Valentines Day CHALLENGEEEEE!

You all didn't think you were getting out of this holiday entirely empty handed, now did you?

There's red, white, and pink heart confetti falling like rain as Nekomata pushes out a ridiculously large gameshow type wheel with a bottle shaped ticker attached at its center. She raises the aviator glasses she's wearing and pulls a few cue cards out of her...actually she doesn't have pockets and it's best not to ask where these came from.

"Lyadies and Gentleman, humies, magi and all creatures alike! It's time for us to play a game mya!" She does her best Vanna White impression as she gestures to the wheel. "You may all have nyoticed the names of Nexus denizens. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to give this wheel a spin and track down whomever it lands on and get a selfie of you two smooching! All selfies delivered to me will be entered into a grand finale drawing. The winner will receive a very special prize everyone in the Nexus is guaranteed to want mya!"

She points into the crowd of the forum. She wants you to participate! Yes, you!

"What are you waiting for mya?!"

"Miss Siri isn't going to find it anywhere," she's quick to assure Steve. Why would she share it?

"You're welcome, honey. I didn't want to ruin your fun." Since they're done smooching each other, Ver will take Matt's arm and cuddle against his side. "I think you two could use a drink. Each, not like, sharing one. My treat?"

"Miss Siri isn't the FBI, thank god." Or SHIELD for that matter. He already knows that when it is in Verity's possession it will be like it's in Fort Knox. Now he is very interested in hearing how it went with that Greek princess so that we are all completely fair.

Matt laughs and doesn't even bother correcting the honey mix up. "At least you found your mark." That's something that he himself needs to do.

"A drink would be wonderful."

"The FBI? That became a thing after, didn't it." He looks to Verity and then Matt automatically as he asks. Modern times have a decidedly different view of the FBI.

"Also, yes. please." anything to get out of here. "Just...give me a moment okay?" He runs off to go show the picture to Nekomata, puts his name in the jar, and comes back.

She gave her word, and Matt should know she'll keep it.

"Lots of government agencies have become more specialized, and there's a bunch more now," she offers in lieu of a real explanation. While Steve's trying oh-so-hard to win that prize, Ver will enjoy a moment with Matt.

"Thanks for being a good sport," she whispers.

Her word is ironclad. Matt doesn't doubt it it all. Siri alone couldn't retrieve it. And maybe even the FBI would have a hard time too.

"Of course. He's my friend," he whispers back and presses a kiss to Verity's cheek. "I'd hope he'd be as understanding if I were in his shoes. And awkwardness always brings people together."

"Okay. Okay that's done." It's not so much the prize that Steve cares about, as a need to not have just kissed Matt..twice...for no good reason.

He's back though and shaking confetti out of his hair.

"Where to?"

"Bonding over awkwardness. Sounds about right." The kiss gets a contented little sigh and she nuzzles his shoulder a bit in turn. Until she hears Steve coming back.

"There's a place nearby. Quiet with good whiskey. I'm guessing we're all looking for something stronger today?"

Awkwardness could be another language he's got some mastery of. "You better win, Steve." For all that trouble. Matt reaches out to give him one more pat.

"Nearby, quiet and whiskey... it's like you're reading my mind."

"You're right, I better." Steve huffs good naturedly and claps the back of Matts hand when he pats Steve on the shoulder. "I'm not nearly drunk enough to be straying into kissing random folks territory."

Matt is hardly random folks but that just makes it more weird in Steve's mind. This is the sort of behavior that got you beat or worse when he's from. And that's not even touching the 'dating Verity' portion of the weird. Speaking of...

"Hope he's better for you, he just sat there. I'd demand flowers for this if I were you, Verity."

"He's been an excellent teacher, actually. And I can't be too mad, I played too. Of course, my kisses were all on the cheek." So now Steve's getting a bit of side-eye. Not that she can really blame him. Matt's worth kissing. "But if you're going to want him to teach you too, you both owe me flowers."
