Hey!! She may not look like much, but she has it where it counts, Jim, tyvm.
As it is, the ship is there and unguarded. If the ship could talk she would probably concur with the explorer. You would think nobody would just leave their ship exposed like this, unless it was some kind of trick or emergency. You would think.
To defend Han's apparent negligence there are a few things to consider though. The ship is nearly out of fuel. Barely enough to get it out of the atmosphere, definitely not enough for a jump into hyperspace, so, anyone interested in stealing it would have to fuel it first. Second is the nature of the ship. It is very, very difficult to fly the thing solo. Even for Han. Like an old beater, it also has a few quirks you have to work around to get it to start, too. A few hiccups that keep it from turning over and purring like a kitten right away.
That said, Han should really not have left the door open.
The inside of the vessel is pretty big on the inside. Certainly not as big as most of the massive ships in the Starfleet, but it's big enough for Han to haul around some sizeable shipments of this, that and the other things. Not to mention the hollowed out portions for smuggling. He'll notice that the layout of the ship is based around the circular center of the vessel, with the blasting turrets in the middle.
He'll also notice the sent of something that was previously burning.
Lol. I certainly hope for a bromance with these two. Or at least some fun sass.
