"That's fair." Verity certainly doesn't think people should 'give away' their time and efforts more than they want to. She may have grown up in a strangely altruistic society, but she understands the need to defend the self.

"There is so much to see," she agrees with a laugh. "It's nice to see someone so eager to explore." It's nice to see someone arrive who isn't in the midst of a crisis, or bleeding, or extremely confused after falling out of the sky. This has been so refreshingly normal.

Verity doesn't mind Trixie wanting to stop and gawk at things. She did too when she first arrived. She still does sometimes. There are so many things to see, magical and mystical, natural and technological. It would take lifetimes to explore everything. But from time to time she'll issue a gentle reminder, murmuring, "Perhaps it would be easier to explore when you've put your cart up safely?"
