A young man sits on one of the many couches in the Forum, and sighs at a notebook in his hands. The page is full of scribbled-out text, pages and pages of it. The pages are dog-eared and a bit ragged, indicating he's been using this notebook for a while.

"How can it be this hard to think of a good name for a secret identity?"

"Oh. Well... congrats on winning?"

[gate_crasher]

He gives a rueful chuckle. "Thank you. I would have preferred no fight be necessary, but the slaughter of clergy in their sanctum could not be ignored."

[jonathan_kent]

"Yeah, I can see why that'd be unacceptable."

[gate_crasher]

"Do I understand that you will enter battle, in the name of your cause?"

[jonathan_kent]

"That's one way of looking at it, I guess. The Justice League is more a... peacekeeping force than an army. We hope that we don't have to fight anyone, but if we do, it's for a good reason."

[gate_crasher]

"Ah? That is well."

[jonathan_kent]

"Both my parents were founding members, so it's pretty important to me that I follow their example. Not all of my brothers are sisters share that opinion, but that's fine, they can do whatever makes them happy."

[gate_crasher]

"Do they share your, hm, capacities?"

[jonathan_kent]

"You mean my powers? Yeah, I don't have anything that one of them didn't have. At least that I know about."

[gate_crasher]

"'One of them,'" he echoes, "implying that not all of them possess your full suite of capabilities?"

[jonathan_kent]

"The opposite, actually. They've both got more powers than I do, there's just not really any overlap between them, except for not getting hurt easily. I didn't get the full set from either."

[gate_crasher]

"Ah? That, too, is interesting. I have not made as full a study as I might like of the inheritance of traits, but it is worth contemplating nonetheless."

[jonathan_kent]

"It's kind of interesting. My siblings and I don't have identical powers, either. We all got a different mix."

[gate_crasher]

"At least you may feel that you are unique, may you not?"

[jonathan_kent]

"Yeah, no worries there."

[gate_crasher]

"Then may your distinction always be a blessing."

[jonathan_kent]

"Thank you," Jon says, taking that in the spirit (he hopes) it was meant.

Shade-Seeker inclines his head in acknowledgment of the thanks. It was very much meant in the spirit that Jon has taken it.
