Knowing has always been her burden. But sometimes it saves her; she knows there's no good and no comfort in being spiteful. She tried that. It never worked. So now there's the mourning of what's gone and what will never come. Someday, she's been promised, she'll feel better about it all.

She doesn't have much to say--she could have done more, risked more... probably died with everyone else then, but that's what real heroes do. The gratitude that she's still alive confuses her for a moment, but then she manages a thin smile. "I thought it was his place to tell you, when he was ready. It's part of why I didn't come to meet you sooner. Matt's always told me such lovely stories about you."

Yes, she's changing the subject. Please don't press, Foggy, not right now.
