made waves with some friends I know

The season is a'changing, the weather is warmer. The forecast calls for high temperature, low humidity and a light breeze. A near perfect day. What better reason to gather the friends and have a good time with a bonfire? Grab a beer, have a seat. Cheery tunes fill the salty air. There's plenty of room and so much to eat.

Matt Murdock is actually dressed for the beach. Still likely more than usual. He burns so easily. There's no way he could have done this alone. Anyone who is anyone in Nexus knows that there is that distinct Verity Willis touch on everything. If the sounds and the sights don't get you, it is going to be whatever Clint has on the grill. That man is magic.

Hunter smiles up at Groot, when he leans over to look at the picture. It is very simple drawing, since Hunter is just using inks right now.

"This sketch will be an excellent starting point, if I want to do one in crayon, or acrylic paints."

Groot reaches out to touch the page thoughtfully, then favors Hunter with a smile. A moment's concentration and a few creaks of effort prompt a tiny stalk to grow on his arm, swelling and budding into a little flower, which he plucks and offers to the artist. "I am Groot."

"Thank you," Hunter blushes from the gift. He has a fondness for flowers, roses especially as evident by the significance of the tattoos.

"I'm Hunter. Would you like a keepsake from one that I finish at home?"

"I am Groot!" he answers cheerfully (make of that what you will, young human).

[losthunter]

It sounds positive in Hunter's opinion. "Great. I am glad that you were here, so we could meet."

The big tree gives a genial rumble, nodding in agreement.

[losthunter]

"What sort of beach activities interest you?"

[i_amgroot]

"I am Groot," he explains, gesturing to the expanse of sand, people, and water.

[losthunter]

"We could go for a walk. I like people watching myself, and walking around is an excellent way to do that."

[i_amgroot]

Groot gives an agreeable rumble, glancing up and down the beach, before looking back to Hunter, head tilted curiously to one side.

Hunter takes his sketch book with him, before smiling up at Groot.

"How about this way?" He is going to head down the beach, towards the people, where he can watch more everything. And just enjoy seeing his friends having fun.

Groot makes another amiable sound, falling into step. With Groot's long strides, he doesn't have any trouble keeping pace with Hunter. He smiles and waves as they approach people--he's such a friendly tree.

It is really fun time to walk down the beach, and watch Groot wave at people as they approach and pass them. For Hunter, this is a lot different than how he used to act around groups of people, as he is not trying to hide his features or himself.

So much the better, then. Groot's shade is a nurturing thing, a surprisingly good place for people to grow into themselves.
