The season is a'changing, the weather is warmer. The forecast calls for high temperature, low humidity and a light breeze. A near perfect day. What better reason to gather the friends and have a good time with a bonfire? Grab a beer, have a seat. Cheery tunes fill the salty air. There's plenty of room and so much to eat.

Matt Murdock is actually dressed for the beach. Still likely more than usual. He burns so easily. There's no way he could have done this alone. Anyone who is anyone in Nexus knows that there is that distinct Verity Willis touch on everything. If the sounds and the sights don't get you, it is going to be whatever Clint has on the grill. That man is magic.

"It is if you're hungry," Clint answers with a grin. "What'll ya have?"

"I am. What are the choices, Clint?"

"I've got rabbit food, I've got grilled corn on the cob, I've got bratwurst, hot dogs, burgers, bacon-burgers, ribeyes, and a few more burgers and steaks over here on the kosher grill."

[losthunter]

"Well the bacon burgers sound like a good starting point. And grilled corn on the cob would be awesome too."

"And if I added a ribeye, do you think that would be too greedy?" Hunter chuckles lightly.

"Kid," Clint answers, giving Hunter a level look that he can't keep serious for long, "I grew up in the circus. If you haven't asked me to deep-fry anything, you're practically hitting the salad bar." The corn and ribeye are promptly delivered. "You want a slice'a cheese melted on your burger?"

"Is there a deep fryer close by?" Hunter glances around for one.

"Yes, cheese would be great. Thanks."

"No deep fryer," Clint admits, placing a thick slab of cheddar atop one of the bacon-burgers to soften, "but don't hint about it too hard, or Verity'll probably dig one up for next time."

[losthunter]

"She and Matt did a great job with arranging everything for this event. And definitely the right guy is at the grill," Hunter flashes a bright smile.

"They really did great," Clint agrees. Once the cheese is melted just right, he flips the burger off of the grill and catches it in a bun, before depositing it on Hunter's plate. "There you go, fella. There's condiments and potato salad and stuff on the table, over there."

[losthunter]

"Perfect."

"I am glad to have met you. Verity has spoken highly of you. I'm Hunter, by the way." Because the introduction almost got forgotten.

"Nice to meet you, Hunter." Clint grins. "I'm Clint, but I'm guessing you knew that. Welcome to the party, and have a good time."

[losthunter]

"Thanks. It is really nice to be out here. And just enjoy the whole experience."

"Maybe later, once the grilling has fed everyone, we will meet up again."

"You know it," Clint confirms with a grin. "You gonna play volleyball later?"

[losthunter]

"Sure thing! That sounds like it will be fun."

Clint gives a grin. "Yeah, I think it's gonna be. We've got some good game goin' around." Looking around, he adds a speculative, "Groot's gonna be tough to beat."

[losthunter]

"Well when you are that tall..." Hunter laughs appreciatively.

"It's his reach I'm worried about," Clint muses.

[losthunter]

"No kidding. Well maybe, he will just be the most popular teammate choice."

"That's a safe bet," Clint agrees with a laugh.
