The season is a'changing, the weather is warmer. The forecast calls for high temperature, low humidity and a light breeze. A near perfect day. What better reason to gather the friends and have a good time with a bonfire? Grab a beer, have a seat. Cheery tunes fill the salty air. There's plenty of room and so much to eat.

Matt Murdock is actually dressed for the beach. Still likely more than usual. He burns so easily. There's no way he could have done this alone. Anyone who is anyone in Nexus knows that there is that distinct Verity Willis touch on everything. If the sounds and the sights don't get you, it is going to be whatever Clint has on the grill. That man is magic.

"Mmmmnnn'snice," he rumbles, head drooping a little as she rubs. "D'you have to practice that a lot?"

"Don't have to," she murmurs, curling her arm to guide him into leaning against her now that he's relaxing. "Like to, so, it works out nicely."

Yeah, a little leaning sounds good right about now. This is cozy. "So this's natural talent?" he manages, his voice dropping lower as he relaxes.

"All of them are," she points out with a quiet laugh. When he's settled comfortably, she rests her cheek against his hair. "That's kind of my job, you know?"

"Being talented?" he asks, moving as little as possible to keep from disturbing her. She fits quite nicely where she is, thanks.

"Yup, that's exactly what I meant," she replies with a giggle. "This whole 'queen of May' thing is only until the talent shows start holding auditions again. Then I'll go and win them all."

"You'll have to tell me when that's going," he counters with a grin. "I'll text all the numbers."

"Aww, you're so sweet. Thank you." His forehead's going to get a kiss now. "Such a good friend."

He chuckles. "Eh, that's me. Sweet to a fault. Or faulty to a sweet, I forget."

"I hope it's the first one. It'd be hard to be friends with someone who disrespects candy." Candy is serious business in Frea's little world.

Okay, it's a stupid joke, but it was either that or lick him.

She got him to laugh, so unless she really wanted to taste sweat and sunblock, that's a win.

No, sunblock isn't her favorite flavor. He can keep that. There'll be more tasty and less opportune times to lick him.

What's the point of being an Avenger if some pretty blond never wanders over while you're on the news and licks you, after all?
