When Hunter made his first appearance in the Nexus, it was in The Parklands. And today, he is sitting in the same spot near the water. He has a canvas set up, and is working on a large piece depicting a mother pushing a child on a swing set. There is also a large collection of books near him. Obviously he had been studying over something of importance.

He gets to the point where the canvas is nearly complete, when he stops and places his brushes to the side. After studying the canvas for a moment, Hunter reaches out and touches the canvas, right in the lower left corner.

He closes his eyes and concentrates, and after a moment, the picture on the canvas comes to life. There is also a soft glow on his arm, where a few tiny roses bloom to life on the rose bush.

But the moment doesn't last long. It ends very quickly. And Hunter sighs a little frustrated. "What am I doing wrong?"

It's true, she'll always love and accept him, even if she doesn't understand or necessarily approve of something. She won't just listen, though: there'll be hugs and quite possibly food involved.

She'd have to be able to see that Loki-shaped blind spot before she could talk about it more completely than she currently does.

"I bet he'll be excited to hear about them."

The fact that she will always love and accept him is the most important thing in the world. And Hunter treasures that. The food and hugs are nice bonuses.

"You and I should have a spa day."

"Or even better, I was planning a Drag Night out."

The best treasures come with bonuses. That's what makes them seem so grand.

"Mm, tough choice. Who would be coming out for drag night?"

"A few of my drag friends. And a new Nexus friend, named Jim Kirk."

"Oh, I met him. He seems nice." Ver takes a moment to consider the idea. It sounds like a night aimed at getting a lot of attention, but there would be other people to soak up the attention. And she's sure Hunter would understand if she had to go home early. "I guess this means I should go shopping, huh?"

"It took him a little bit to connect the dots, between you and me. Since I kept referring to you as my beautiful best friend." Hunter recollects fondly.

"Any reason to go shopping is a good reason."

"I can see how that would confuse him," she deadpans.

"You know I have a hard time saying no to new clothes. But should I be shopping for a dress or a suit?" She's not sure if girls can be drag queens, and it's not the sort of thing she's ever had to worry about before.

"He agreed that you are beautiful." Important note to make.

"I would love to see you in a suit." He would accept her in Drag. "I'm going Drag, so is Jim." An added mention, that they would distract any attention.

She wasn't fishing for that compliment, but she'll take it and give him a smile in return.

"Both of you? Well, I know I can't compete with that. And someone had best not be in heels, in case there's trouble." Oh, how life with Matt has changed her perspective on things.

"Good point. And you in a suit would be a perfect compliment to us in dresses."

Hunter smiles softly. "And I know you won't be surprised if you see flirting or displays of affection between Jim and I."

"Sounds like a party." She knows just what to wear...

That does get a surprised look from her. "Well, I won't now. What happened with Will?"

"Nothing. Will and I are still taking things slow. Seeing where things go."

"And since we both agree that part of that is seeing other people, we both are." Hunter shrugs. He smiles slightly. "It is sort of nice... to have two handsome men who want my attention."

"Oh." Okay then, she'll just leave that topic alone now.

"It's nice to feel wanted." That's a safe thing to agree with. "You've got good taste."

"I am glad you will be able to join us. I will let you know when we have a time set up."

"And I'll be there." She just hopes they don't realize halfway through the night that she's crashing a date.

With a glance to his canvas, she asks, "Should I let you get back to painting now?"

"You have definitely encouraged me to keep trying, and to get stronger." He smiled. She is going to get another hug.

A hug that's warmly returned. "You'll do amazing things, I know it. Talk to you later, honey."

Time for her to skee-daddle and let the artist work.
