Snow has fallen in the Nexus! Fat, fluffy flakes of white, piling and drifting from ankle- to knee-depth in places. It may still be falling, in places, and in the midst of it all is a Norse godling packing snowballs and a grin. "I swear, I had nothing to do with it--but! What's your favorite thing to do with a fresh fall of snow?"

A man in his usual blue military uniform may be cursing himself internally for not wearing his regulation coat today, but he'll be damned if he isn't excited to see the snow. The question from the young Loki gets a grin as Hughes saunters over through a patch of ankle-deep snow. (Thanks goodness for regulation boots!)

"Snow is best enjoyed with family, so my favorite thing to do is to take my daughter out in it as soon as it's deep enough to go sledding on some hills in a park. I may or may not join her from time to time, if the hill's too steep for her to go by herself." He gives a wink with that one and can't help the chuckle that follows. Because what dad who loves his daughter as much as Hughes loves his could possibly resist sledding with said daughter from time to time?

Ooh, a man in uniform, and Loki has a snowball--it's so tempting, so very, very tempting...

"Will you be bringing her out here? Jim and I are setting up a snow fort, and we could use someone to fort against. Or, y'know, guard, but that leaves us with the problem of still no competition."

He shakes his head a bit. "I'm afraid I can't. No one else from my world knows about this place and I kinda need to keep it that way for now." Goodness knows that could change at any time, but details. "But how about this - I help you with your fort for now and when more people show up, I'll join the opposing team for the impending snowball fight. Sound good?"

Yeah, like Loki's impulse control can last. He lobs the snowball. "Ha! You just want a look at our fort before you go up against it! Spy!"

Hughes didn't really expect it to hold out. Snowballs are meant to be thrown after all. The thrown snowball collides with Hughes' left shoulder, eliciting a small "oof" sound.

"Curses, I've been discovered!" He pulls together a snowball quickly and throws it, gently, in Loki's general direction. No need to show off his throwing skills just yet.

"Well, you'll never take the White Spire! We'll hold out to the very last!" He laughs, packing another snowball as quick as he can and tossing it after the first.

He manages to dodge the second shot, but only just barely. "Not if I have anything to say about it!" Another snowball is packed together and thrown in Loki's direction. Now that this has been started, it's unlikely to stop.
