His day is just dragon on...

That sure would be what looks like a huge dragon... trying to get it's horns out of the welcome sign... while trying not to do any more damage to the surrounding area. There are brochures flying everywhere too. Looks like someone's entrance to the Nexus was rather unexpected... and having a thirty-ish foot long dragon in the main area of the forum doesn't seem to be a very good idea either...

".... Help?"

"Ah... Do these come in a larger size?" Skyfire holds up a brochure between two claws... and it looks a bit worse for wear. "I'm having some trouble holding it well enough to read it..."

"...A sign?" Said sign still looks almost pristine and sitting where it was originally, just with a dragon stuck to one side by his horns. "... What is the thing even made of?"

The ends of Skyfire's horns have punctured the back of the sign, with the angle of his head causing him no end of trouble in trying to move his head in the right directions so that he can pull them out. Mostly because he can't see which way to turn and the prongs keep catching back in the holes if he does manage to get a few free.

"I have no idea." Wil studies the horrible mess that the dragon's created, and reaches a hand out hesitantly. "If it's okay with you, I can try to help guide you out of it."

"If you don't mind, I would really appreciate it. I'm starting to get a little stiff..." Ok, more like he was starting to get a real bad crick in his neck, but he's the type to downplay his aches.

"Okay, try not to move too much. And don't freak out..." Wil concentrates, enclosing the dragon's head in the gentlest telekinetic field he can manage. He carefully turns and tugs, trying to lead the horns back through the sign without getting snagged even worse.

That... has to be one of the oddest sensations that he's ever felt, but he's not trying to fight it. It's not electromagnetic manipulation, but something else. He shifts his body a few times, careful not to hit the person trying to help him get free.

"This has to be one of the strangest situations that I've encountered in a long time..." It'll likely take a bit of work, but his horns will eventually pop free from the sign.

Fortunately, Wil's spent a lot of his life practicing. He's shaking a little from the fine concentration by the time they're done though, and drops his hand like it weighs ten tons. "There, just don't... whip your head back suddenly or anything."

Once his horns are free, Skyfire moves back a bit and slowly raises his head up, before twisting his long neck this way and that to get the stiffness out. He lets out a sigh of pure relief and finally gets a chance to take a good look at the person that helped him out.

"Thank you. That was not a fun experience in the slightest..." Skyfire notices that little bit of shaking and looks mildly concerned. "Are you alright? You didn't hurt yourself helping me did you?"

"I'm okay. Just tired." Wil decides he should probably sit down, and finds a nearby chair that'll work. "It takes a lot of effort to move things like that."

"Can... can I offer you a lift somewhere?" Skyfire looks around and sighs, though he does finally get a good look at the sign that he'd had his horns caught in. "Granted I have no idea where I am... and that is one hideous sign..."

"Don't know where I'd go, but thanks for the offer."

Wil nods towards the sign. "It really is. It'll be fine by this time tomorrow, probably. You're in the Nexus, by the way."

"Well, if you change your mind..." Skyfire has no idea where he's going to go either, so they were kind of in the same boat.

"Nexus? Humm... Well, one alien world is the same as another I suppose..." He's not too bothered by the change in location. "Though I wish I'd had my tools and such with me. It's going to be a pain recreating everything again..."

"It's more like a world between worlds, but yeah..."

Wil frowns slightly. "Recreating what?"

"Between worlds? Interesting..." And that would be the science addict in him getting curious again.

"My tools, my ability to write on paper, the bags I use to carry items, the inventions I had been working on..." He sighs "Just when I thought I was making progress on making myself somewhere to call home..."

It wasn't the end of the world, but it was a pretty big setback.

"Oh." Well, that's awkward. "You might be able to find a door to take you back... it can be hard to find the right one though."

[caelum_ignis_draconigena]

"A door... as in a physical structure or something created from energy?" Because if it was the former, he didn't remember passing through one. Wait, what? Did he hear right? Skyfire did a bit of a double take.

"The right one? ...Does that mean you can travel to other places besides where you came from?" He seems very interested in that idea.

Wil just shrugs a little helplessly. "Could be either... it seems to be pretty random."

The dragon's interest doesn't really surprise him. It is a bit weird if you haven't been here before. "Yeah. My parents met here from different universes. She lives in Dad's world now but we've visited her home universe lots of times, as well as others."

"Well, I suppose I have plenty of time to look..." It wasn't like he had anything better to do.

He looks very thoughtful after hearing that someone chose to live in a different world, even somewhat hopeful.

"You don't encounter trouble crossing between them?" He really missed his friends, and he knew it was probably a very long shot that he could get back to that world... but he had the smallest of hopes for the first time in a long time.

He shakes his head. "Not that I know of. We've never ended up in the wrong place."

[caelum_ignis_draconigena]

"That's good to know... Hmmm...I wonder how much trouble I can end up in from just trying doors at random..."

Not that he'd cause trouble on purpose, but he was curious about where he could end up now. 'Home' was okay, and he'd very much like to find his friends in the other world he'd been on... but if neither of those were available to him, getting back to exploring seemed a good alternative.

Wil frowns a little. "Probably a lot of trouble, really. The other side can be really different."

That gives Skyfire a momentary pause. "I suppose that I should wait on that until I have a way to get myself out of any trouble I might get in to..."

"Might be a good idea," Wil agrees. "Or you might end up stuck again."

Now that was a somewhat frightening idea. "Yes, that is very true... I would rather never go through that again."

Seems like someone is quite familiar with being stuck in places, and isn't in a hurry to repeat the experience again.

Now that the dragon is unstuck, it seems only proper and polite to introduce himself, although he's pretty sure they'll have to forego the handshake. "I'm William Kent."

"My name is Skyfire. It's nice to meet you."

It's not really a 'hand shake', but Skyfire tries offering him a single digit of his hand-like paw in the best imitation he can manage... with his claws retracted of course.
