His day is just dragon on...

That sure would be what looks like a huge dragon... trying to get it's horns out of the welcome sign... while trying not to do any more damage to the surrounding area. There are brochures flying everywhere too. Looks like someone's entrance to the Nexus was rather unexpected... and having a thirty-ish foot long dragon in the main area of the forum doesn't seem to be a very good idea either...

"Ah... Do these come in a larger size?" Skyfire holds up a brochure between two claws... and it looks a bit worse for wear. "I'm having some trouble holding it well enough to read it..."

"They're very impressive looking, I would hate for them to lose their magnificence to something as silly as this."

He gives Skyfire one more pat on the head, then drops away from the sign, landing lightly in a crouch. He dusts himself off as he stands, looking up at the dragon. "Try to be more careful in the future, alright? This place can be a little unpredictable at times."

Skyfire backs away from the sign slowly, shaking his head and stretching once he was sure he was clear of both the sign and Sonic.

He huffs lightly and gives Sonic a light, slightly exasperated grin. "You make it sound as if I had a warning before that..." Looking at the sign, he can't help but wince. "...hideous looking sign smacked into me. I was landing in a field outside of my home not... Wherever this place is."

There's no aggression or irritation in his voice, just a slightly tired sense of amusement. Skyfire has been doing his best to stay positive about everything... and it's half working.

"You had no more warning than any of us, I'm sure." Sonic smirks, putting his hand on his hip and tilting his head to the side. "I was running at full speed, and I still managed not to run into anything."

"This place, as the hideous looking sign says, is the Nexus." He waves at the sign, which doesn't look at all like a dragon just ran into it. "I've been here... three or four days? It's a little hard to keep track of the time. It doesn't like to be consistent, I've found."

Skyfire chuckles a bit as he looked over Sonic, taking a moment to calculate the difference between landing when flying and running. He finally holds two of his claws about five inches apart and sighs. "I'd like to see you avoid hitting a wall when running at full speed and have about this much warning..." That's not even taking Skyfire's mass into account.

"The Nexus? Huh, interesting..." He pauses and gets distracted by the now unmarked and undamaged sign. "Did it just fix itself in the moment we weren't looking at it?"

To be fair, Sonic running at full speed should not be compared to most other humans running at full speed. He may or may not have been going as fast as Skyfire was when he was coming in for a landing.

But also to be fair, he didn't have five inches before he was going to run into a wall when he got here either.

"That's fair, I probably would not have been able to stop either." But at least he would have been able to twist to prevent running into it face first. And he'd probably do more damage to the wall than himself.

"Yes, probably," Sonic sighs, shrugging and shaking his head. "Most changes around here don't seem to be quite that abrupt, but the sign is especially particular about its appearance, from what I've heard."

"You probably wouldn't have ended up in such an undignified mess though..." Skyfire would shrug off the embarrassment eventually, but this was going to stick in his mind for a long time.

"Huh... I might have to take a look at it sometime... That seems like an interesting phenomenon. I wonder if anyone has tried to study it before..." He pauses and shake his head. "Thoughts for another time I suppose..."

He gives Sonic a sheepish smile "Thank you for getting me out of that predicament... My name is Skyfire..." Awkward dragon is awkward and had only just realized he'd not introduced himself.
