holy guacamole it's foggy nelson!
"Excuse me." Bumped past someone. What? He's preoccupied with trying to find out where he is exactly. The seats at the forum seem like a good place to crash. This is what he gets for venturing out to a fancy schmancy coffee shop that Marci picked out. The door should have lead to the bathroom.
Should have.
"You ever feel like you're just really, really lost?"
Should have.
"You ever feel like you're just really, really lost?"

"Uh. Chipotle? No Chitauri? Centauri? I don't know. The second one sounds most accurate. I mean, they weren't big headed with long limbs and big eyes or look like Robin Williams."

*She considers the possibilities for a moment before posing a follow-up question.*
Given your limited exposure, what's your take on sapient nonhumans?

Just another clobbered New York City. Foggy purses his lips at the thought but is on to her next question.
"Um. I haven't met one but I think it's about content of character."
no subject
*Samus has left her share of shambles, and then some. His answer about content of character gets an approving nod.*
Good. That's a perspective that will take you far in the galaxy. Or the multiverse.

They gotta keep calm and carry on as they say. Foggy clears his throat and shrugs.
"Galaxy travel and multi-dimensions, it's the stuff kids only dream of. I'll be sure to keep that in mind. You're pretty seasoned in all this what with...how many realities you've been do? Do you even bother keeping track?"
no subject
*"Keep calm and carry on" covereth a multitude of sins. Then again, so does close air support.*
I don't count them, no. I've been in and out of the Nexus for, subjectively, more than ten Earth years, and in that time I've visited any number of places and times.

*She thinks about the question.*
Mm. Difficult to say. Some of the places I enjoy most are peaceful, serene... others are decidedly not. I think the most common thread is that they're places where I can relax.
no subject
"Who doesn't like relaxing? No one I want to know! I hope that's what brought you here. I mean with the know violence thing."

I prefer Samus if we're being casual, Hunter Aran if you're addressing me in a professional capacity.
She has very definite preferences, but he's asking nicely so she won't be bothered by explaining them.
The first time I arrived here, it was because of an engineered accident with a teleporter. Someone tried to kill me, and it didn't take. Lucky for me, less so for them.

"Woah. Did they like--" his hands rush together then come apart complete with an explosion noise.. Still trying to grasp the mechanics. Plus exploding people! Can there be that?
no subject
*She has no idea what other interpretation of that word might merit a roguish eyebrow. She's not sure what he's asking with that latter question, composed mostly of gestures as it is. She'll give it her best guess.*
They set the destination coordinates for an impossible nowhere, hoping that I would simply be lost to nonexistence. Instead, I ended up here, a sort of point-of-least-resistance.
no subject
"That's crazy. Well, I'm glad that whatever brought me here did and didn't uh redirect me to an impossible nowhere." Impossible Nowhere would be a great band name.
no subject
*Foggy only thinks Samus is more approachable because he's never seen her "collect a bounty" into the form of a smoldering crater. The lack of mullet is admittedly an advantage.*
Yes, taking a wrong turn through a portal is generally much preferable to being stupidly lucky after a teleporter accident.

Franklin "Foggy" Percy Nelson. Stop.
"You guys don't do any kind of weird initiation or anything do you? No secret handshakes or hazing?"
no subject
*She'd have an easier time catching people with her ship providing close air support, but the city of New York might not appreciate an alien spacecraft making strafing runs to bring in a bail-jumper. His question gets a smirk in answer.*
You're here. Keeping your sanity is generally hazing enough.
