His day is just dragon on...

That sure would be what looks like a huge dragon... trying to get it's horns out of the welcome sign... while trying not to do any more damage to the surrounding area. There are brochures flying everywhere too. Looks like someone's entrance to the Nexus was rather unexpected... and having a thirty-ish foot long dragon in the main area of the forum doesn't seem to be a very good idea either...

"Ah... Do these come in a larger size?" Skyfire holds up a brochure between two claws... and it looks a bit worse for wear. "I'm having some trouble holding it well enough to read it..."

Once he realizes she's gotten closer, he stops even trying to look. He didn't want to cause any injuries to anyone after all.

"You don't have to worry about that... It's pretty hard to get on my bad side..." Mostly true, unless someone is purposely trying to hurt someone or abusing them, Skyfire is pretty forgiving...

He huffs softly, then sighs, while holding as still as he can. "Warn me if you need to climb on me to get a better look? I don't want to end up harming you accidentally..." Totally true, he hates the thought of hurting anyone. On the bright side, with those big feather wings and red 'mane' down the middle of his back, it would be fairly easy for someone to climb on him.

For the best that he hold still and not get himself tangled up even worse.

"Good to know. I don't make a habit of climbing on people without asking permission. But it's hard to see what happened from down here. I don't want to hurt you, but if you think you could stand it, I'd like to try getting closer to where you're stuck. If there's something caught on your horns, I might be able to help you get it off."

"Go ahead and climb up if you think it'll help you get a better look. I really don't mind." He pauses a moment. "Just be careful... I don't want you to fall off and get hurt. Really grab onto my hair and feathers if you need to..."

All he said so far has been totally true. He actually missed playing with children and other people... He'd been alone far too long after getting used to spending so much time having friends.

That said, climbing up a dragon is not something she's really prepared for Samus why didn't you teach her rock climbing sooner such a failure as a trainer geez. There may be a few amusing false moves--amusing for other people to watch, less so for her and possibly Skyfire to live through.

Fortunately Skyfire is steady and doesn't flinch as she tries to climb him... but he does quickly use his tail to somewhat come to her rescue. Having a mostly prehensile tail comes in handy, and he uses it to act as a stabilizer for her to lean on while she's trying to get up to his horns... Even if that red, tail tuft of hair is likely a bit of an annoyance.

"It's alright. Just go slow... Having you climbing on me is fine, so try not to worry..."

"Slow and steady wins the race, they say." It's fortunate for both of them that he can hold steady. The assist is appreciated, if something of a surprise. Once she's up and reasonably secure, she leans forward to examine the damage as best she can.

"It looks like something's wrapped around your horns. You want me to try and get it off?"

He's a more than a bit worried about her safety, but he did need the help so...

"Only if you can do it without hurting yourself..." Skyfire wasn't sure what the sign was made of, but he was pretty sure that after ramming into it like he had, there had to be sharp parts about.

She's more than capable of deciding when to risk her own safety, kind as it is for him to worry.

"Let's not think of it as hurting myself so much as getting a lot of practice at my healing spells, hm?" Because there's no way to get him free without a little pain. If he holds still she shouldn't be losing anything she can't replace, and what's a little blood between strangers? A few scrapes and nicks won't kill her.

"Wow, you've got yourself stuck in there good and certain. You don't do things by half-measures, do you?"

Skyfire just sighs and holds nearly as still as a statue. "I'd rather you not need to practice them on yourself because you were hurt helping me... but I suppose if you're sure..." He really doesn't want to jump and make things any worse. Plus he doubted that he'd be able to talk her out of it.

"Oh, I like to think I do my best at whatever I can... Too bad that seems to include getting myself into embarrassing situations..."

"I'll be fine," she reasserts.

"Not so embarrassing. Not around here. Plenty of people have fallen out of the sky and landed on their asses. You've taken an interesting detour, is all. And you're not any less dressed than usual, so that's a win." She'll keep up the talking while she works, pausing from time to time to hiss or cast one of those healing spells (noisy things, her style of magic).

"Okay. Half done. You see? This isn't so bad."

He chuckles, glad he's not the only one that's gotten the 'rug' pulled out from under him on arrival, well, so to speak. Though he can't help the worried look on his face every time she makes a noise of pain or heals herself, he really is a big, old, fusspot sometimes.

"I'm never dressed, so it's a moot point." Yeah, it was true, but he was also trying to make it a joke... but he's not too good at that.

At her saying 'This isn't so bad.' he sighs. "If you say so... but it sounds like you're in pain a lot..." Yes, he is genuinely worried about her.

"Life is pain." She shrugs, not that he can see it. She's been in pain since she was a baby and a little more doesn't seem like such a big deal to her. "I get that you probably don't need clothes, but you know, a scarf or a jaunty hat might be fun."

"There. Almost..." She takes a deep breath and then empties her lungs while she leans forward to stretch that little bit further that's needed. Then she draws her hand back. "I think that's everything."

He frowns a little when she says that life is pain, but it's not his place to comment on such. The chuckle she gets when he mentions a scarf makes his entire body vibrate ever so slightly. "That is true. I do have a scarf... at home but..." It's true. It was a gift and he doesn't wear it much for fear of damaging it, but he still has one.

Once she'd said that was everything, Skyfire has his tail right there again in an offer to help her down. "Alright... will you allow me to help you down? I would really feel better if you were safely on the ground before I try to move."

It's not a happy statement, so frowning is a valid reaction. Feeling him laughing under her is certainly... different. "Ah. Well, you can't have too many accessories. Or so they say."

Ver leans back slightly until she can see his tail. "Yes, that's a good idea. Thank you." She takes hold of the limb and swings her leg over his neck so she's side-saddle. Maybe she can kind of just slide down? It'll be a bumpy landing, but she's not sure she sees a better option.

Here goes nothing. Wheeee~!

"Oh I don't know about that." He's teasing, because he's quite a packrat.

She won't get too far sliding, because he's quickly using the his tail to gently wrap around her waist to give her a lift down... even if his long tail tuft is a bit of a nuisance with all of that hair...

"No? Well, I did grow up in a shopping destination. I may have learned a few bad habits." Never! She will defend her shoe collection to the death.

The sudden presence around her waist is a surprise, but not necessarily unwelcome. Once she realizes what's going on she relaxes and lets it happen. When her feet are on the ground she pats his tail and helps him untangle all that hair. "Thanks for the lift."

"Heh... I'll admit that I might have a few bad habits myself..." He had the equivalent of several warehouses worth of stuff between his homes, so he really can't judge.

"Not a problem. Thank you for getting me loose..." While she's helping him untangle that hair, he manages to pull his horns from the sign at last and lets out a sigh of pure and utter relief.

After stretching his neck this way and that, he turns his head to give her a big smile, though he's careful not to show off his teeth.

"It's such a relief to be free of that thing..." He finally gets a good look at the sign.
"....." There were no words he could find for that thing. "... well... it's a sign..." If you can't say something nice...

So long as you're willing to rewrite on request it's okay. It helps move things along.

"Most people do." Most people have more than a few, in her experience. She doesn't tend to think well of people for reasons.

"You're welcome. Glad I could help." Once his hair seems to be sorted she takes a few steps back so he can stretch. Then she glances over at the sign. "Yeah... nobody's going to be mad you put some holes in it. How're you feeling?"

When she asks him how he's feeling, he can't help but laugh.

"Like I just hit an immovable object head first at a speed that was much too fast... but much better now that I'm not stuck to the thing anymore." It's the truth. His head was sore, and he was more than a little achy, but he's feeling much better now that he's free of the stupid thing.

Yeah, kind of a stupid question. One corner of her mouth quirks up when he laughs. "I could help, with the pain. If you're willing?" She holds up a hand to remind him--she knows magic.

"Least I can do for someone who damaged that damn thing."

He pauses and considers her offer a moment, looking more than a bit unsure.

"... How does it work on things that aren't organic?" Because despite his current look, he really wasn't organic, or at least he wasn't fully. Or was it just a simulation of being organic? He really has no idea. Introducing a new energy to his systems, no matter how well intentioned, made him a bit wary. Who knew how his body would react to it, it wasn't as if he'd gotten a guide book when he'd turned into his current form.

"People dislike the sign that much?"

"Oh. I don't think it works on non-organic things. Sorry." Seems his concerns are a rather moot point. But fair, and worth thinking about when it comes up.

"Some people do. There've been attempts to damage or remove it; it doesn't usually work."

"It's quite alright. Thank you for the thought though."

He eyes the sign curiously "Well, it's certainly strong, that's for sure... I might have to take a look at it to see if I can duplicate the substance it's made from. Something that strong would come in handy as a building material..."

"You're welcome. You going to be okay?" He's not the only worry-wart around here.

She glances briefly at the sign again before lowering her gaze. It's just so bright. "Making something useful out of it would be great. Another hard-to-damage material would be put to good use around here."

He chuckles lightly. "I'll be alright, I have a hard head. It's mostly just stiffness from being stuck at that odd angle." It's mostly true, with a bit of a joke and a teeny bit of a lie. He's not quite sure he'd be 'okay', but he'd been through worse and come out fine.

"Hopefully it won't have to be that optic searing to be useable..." Skyfire pauses a moment "I wonder if anyone has tried to paint it or build a box around it..." He joins her in looking anywhere but at the sign.
